Paradigm Windows Reviews

Paradigm Windows is located in Portland, Maine and has been in the window and door has been manufacturing business since 1981. The company sells the following window series: the 8300, 5, and 8 Series. They are pretty typical in that they sell their windows and doors through a dealer network (local companies) in the following regions of the country: the Northeast, Mid-West, and the Atlantic states. Browsw below for all of our Paradigm windows reviews.

Bottom Line: Paradigm has quite a good reputation in the window world. They are certainly not well known like a Pella or Andersen Windows, but they manufacture quality vinyl windows and doors. I might give the company a 7.0 out of 10 when it comes to their overall rating.

Paradigm vs ProVia

I've been looking at your reviews for Provia windows. The rep we spoke with says basically we can get all the features of the Endure window in the Aspect frame. So, more glass and less frame than the Endure. Some other companies we've considered sell Sunrise and Pella. We plan to replace 18 windows and are leaning toward Provia. We are finding with these, and ALL windows, a lot of mixed reviews.

Are Provia windows a good investment? Are there better high quality vinyl windows to consider? Have you heard of Paradigm -- how do they compare to ProVia. Have you heard of any issues with the rubber spacers between Provia's window panes deteriorating over time?

Website Editor's Answer

Sandra, I really like ProVia as a brand. Their windows and doors are very high quality. Here are the differences between the Aspect and Endure. The ProVia Aspect is the company's mid range or drop down replacement window. It is a high quality mid range window that achieves some nice performance numbers. For instance, the awning ProVia Aspect double hung has a .05 air infiltration and a DP50 rating, both of which are quite impressive.

Paradigm Windows are good. Not great like ProVia, but still pretty darn good. The price point between these two brands would be an important factor in making this decision. I am going to send you a link to the site page where it goes into what are the main differences between the ProVia Endure and Aspect.

I like Sunrise quite a bit (now MI) and the MI V5550 (Sunrise Restorations window) is an excellent option - as good or perhaps a bit better than the Endure. Pella I’m sort of so-so on. I think they make an excellent wood-clad window. I have never heard ProVia’s spacers having issues (any more than other manufacturers that is).
