Ideal Majestic Windows Reviews

The Ideal Majestic signature series window is a high quality vinyl window that is probably on par with a Soft-Lite Imperial LS or Okna 500 model. The Ideal “Majestic” double hung window has an air infiltration rating of .02 and a .27 Ufactor (with double pane and a foam filled frame.) It has composite reinforcement and is considered a very well made window.

Standard features on the Ideal Majestic include a foam filled extrusion, a reinforced meeting rail, constant force balance, double strength glass, triple weather-stripping seals, an extruded aluminum screen, 2 heavy duty night latches, and shadow grooved welds. The window is available in a fair number of grid, glass, hardware and color options.
The Ideal Majestic Window Series gets a 4.9 out of 5 star rating.

Ideal Majestic Ratings

In terms of ratings, the Majestic double pane, double hung with a foam filled extrusion, low-e glass and argon fills will deliver a .02 air infiltration, .27 U-factor, .28 SHGC, .51 visible transmittance, and a 54 condensation resistance.

Overall, these are very solid numbers for a vinyl window and the main reasons that the Majestic and the Ideal Platinum 3000 series windows are in our top rated vinyl windows category. Interestingly, you won't find either of these models on the company's website. These are primarily sold through select dealers.

Ideal Majestic Windows Warranty

This series should come with a limited lifetime warranty that applies to the vinyl, IGU or insulated glass unit, as well as on all components and moving parts. The Ideal warranty is transferrable to subsequent owners, although it does require a $50 transfer fee and homeowners must notify Ideal in writing with 30 days of the title transfer. The warranty for the new owner is then good for ten years from the time that the windows were purchased.

As with all window warranties, there are limitations and exclusions, so we always urge all homeowners to read the warranty before buying.

Ideal Majestic Windows Cost

Out of curiosity approximately what is the material cost of the Majestics vs NBP Pro? It seems to me that all windows are the same price regardless of size as long as length and width are under 101".

Also what do you do? Do you get prices for installing or just refer to 3 to 5 contractors in my buying area?

Jeffrey - Homeowner - August, 2023

Website Editor's Answer

Jeffrey, I would estimate that the Majestic would cost $150 more each than NBP Pro — but that’s based on no actual facts, but I’d think something like that. Now the company that comes out to give you a bid is free to charge you “per window” whatever the heck they want to…however, most homeowners are blown away by the huge differences in costs from one company to the other. Totally depends, and often times seeming with no rhyme or reason — welcome to the window industry.

I provide advice to homeowners through the site — and yes I monetize the site with the contractor leads. But I’m not paid if you go with one or any of them so I can simply provide consumers with unbiased advice. Kind of a nice sitaution to be in…

Ideal Majestic Windows vs. Simonton 6500

Hi John: I stumbled across your website when researching windows and found it to be very informative. I have two companies each telling me the other window is terrible, and I'm having trouble finding a non-biased opinion on these windows. I would appreciate your input and, if possible, relatively soon.

I received quotes for the replacement of 28 windows (including a few half-circle/eyebrow windows) and the Ideal are about $5K cheaper than the Simonton 6500 windows.

Simonton 6100 (instead of 6500) are about $1500 more than the Ideal.

Can you assist with providing any information on which of these windows is better and why?

Many thanks,

Keith - Homeowner - June, 2022

Website Editor's Answer

Keith, I sort of take issue with both of their opinions because neither the Simonton 6500 series nor the Ideal Majestic / Platinum 3000 is horrible. I would say the Simonton 6500 is a very solid mid range vinyl window. However, the Ideal Majestic / Platinum 3000 is a GREAT window...and $5K cheaper, wow, that's a no brainer from a product perspective. Just make sure that the Ideal dealer has good to great online reviews/ratings. The Ideal option is the way to go though without question.

Majestic Series

Hello Tim, I am replacing 7 windows: Double hung W35 H58. I received quotes from okna 500 deluxe - $4550, Okna 600 deluxe - $4650, majestic series - $4550, soft lite barrignton - $4850. Majestics has a good warranty compare to Okna. It would be great, if you can give me suggestions on the series itself. Thank you.

Arjun - Homeowner - May, 2020

Website Editor's Answer

Arjun, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The Majestic is a great window and that’s a great price. The Okna bids are also great. The 600 series would be my pick over the 500 series for an extra $100.

The Soft-Lite Barrington would not be pick, its an inferior series at a higher price point.

IM Energy Green Quote

I am trying to decide between two quotes I received. One was for ProVia Endure installed at $541 each. The other was for Majestics Energy Green installed for $465 each. Would you be able to advise as to the superior option? Thank you for your time and have a great day.

Mike- Homeowner - June, 2018

Website Editor's Answer

Mike, both the ProVia Endure and Ideal Majestic are good windows. I would say that the Ideal Majestic is even a bit better than the Endure, with an air infiltration of .02. Frankly, the prices you are quoted out at are both very good. The Majestics cost is downright amazing. That's what I would go with myself.

Ideal Majestic Windows Prices

I live in New Jersey and was shown the Majestics series who are in Bayonne, NJ. We were quoted $530 each. The series looks like high quality compared to other windows we saw. We have a very good contractor that we trust and has very good reviews. What is your opinion on the price and quality of the Majestics?

Thanks so much...

Susan - Homeowner - May, 2018

Website Editor's Answer

Susan, the Majestics is quite a good vinyl replacement, with an air infiltration of .02 and .27 U-factor. It uses a composite reinforcement and is well constructed. The $530 per is a good price for a quality series such as this -- perhaps best of all I love that you have a reliable contractor. Full steam ahead...

Ideal Majestic Windows Bid

I have a quote for the Ideal/Majestic for $520 per unit. We really like the look of the window and it seems very well made. We have 17 double hungs. Is this considered a quality window in your view?

Brian- Homeowner - June, 2018

Website Editor's Answer

Brian, the Ideal Majestic window is quite a good vinyl window, with performance data that rivals that of some of the very best vinyl windows on the market. It uses nice features and is indeed well made. $520 per window is quite price as well. Assuming you have a company who offers quality installation, I'd say you are good to go!
