Great Lakes Comfort Smart Windows Reviews

The Great Lakes Comfort Smart is the company's mid range vinyl window and quite a nice unit. While I wouldn't say the ComfortSamrt is an industry standout for it's overall looks, the window is quite good looking. (Not that vinyl windows are all that nice looking, but hopefully they don't take away anything from the home's overall aesthetic). Additionally, the window unit offers some nice upgrade options, along with some very nice interior faux wood options, and exterior custom colors. The ComfortSmart can be ordered as a double hung, slider, casement, awning, picture, several custom shapes, and a patio sliding door. Great Lakes Comfort Smart Ratings

The Great Lakes ComfortSmart window will have nearly identical performance numbers to both the Seabrooke and the Lifestyles series. Consumers can expect the standard ComfortSmart window to deliver a .34 U factor, a .24 SHGC, a .34 VT, and a 51 for condensation resistance.

An upgraded glass package will improve these numbers to a .29 U factor, a .24 SHGC, a .40 VT, and a 54 for condensation resistance.

All in all, the Great Lakes ComfortSmart window produces some pretty mediocre performance numbers that are not unexpected for an entry level vinyl window at this price point.
