Welcome to our reviews and pricing page for Climate Solutions Windows & Doors. This company is based in Chicago, Illinois and opened up shop around 2011 (as far as I can tell). CSW&D is a window and patio door manufacturer that makes and sells three main series. Specifically, these are the 9000, 8000, and 7000 lines. The 9000 is their patio doors (they also sell a tilt and turn). Beyond these facts, I don't know a much more about CSW&D - they don't crop up all that much.

The company offers a limited lifetime warranty on their products that they are free from manufacturing defects. However, the warranty is pro-rated, so this is important to note. For instance, in year 20 (after the date of installation), the homeowner is responsible for 70% of the replacement cost. So, kind of lifetime, but kind of not. Lastly, the warranty can be transferred to another homeowner, although there is a $95 transfer fee.

Climate Solutions Prices

Climate Solutions window costs will be in the 5 to 7 range out of 10 when compared to other vinyl window manufacturers. Their more entry level window (the 7100 series) will be in that 5 to 6 price level, while their 8000 series will be priced out in that 6 to 7 range.

Of course, trying to predict price quotes in nearly impossible and that is why we always tell consumers to collect 4 bids and then compare apples-to-apples prior to making any decision. Lastly, for comparison sake, Wincore Windows prices and Vytex Windows prices are similar to CSW&D prices.

Illinois Replacement Windows

My family and I live here in Aurora, Illinois, an hour outside of Chicago. A company called window concepts replaced our front windows several years ago. The company had used the Climate Solution 8100 window. Unfortunately, we only did those windows because it seems so expensive at the time. Cut to 2025 and the prices had gone up an additional 25%! Now we feel really stuck about our next step forward. We did check out Menards and those options were certainly cheaper, but they did not seem to be high quality. Any thoughts you might have we would appreciate it.

June, I will send you my list of Chicago based replacement windows. My advice is to continue to garner bids until you find one that makes financial sense for your situation. There are good options out there, but you might have to search for them.
