Vinylmax Edison Windows Reviews

Vinylmax Windows, headquartered in Hamilton, Ohio, has been making windows and doors for over 40 years. While their entry level windows aren't stellar, their premium vinyl windows are a solid buy for many homeowners. I might rate Vinylmax at the top of the second tier window manufacturing list.
Our Vinylmax Edison Windows Reviews is one of the company's best replacement windows. Only the Vinylmax Newton model is better in terms of performance and standard features. The window includes a fusion-welded frame and sash, triple weatherstripping, extruded lift rails, and a shadow-grooved sash.
As well, the Edison comes with composite cam locks, flush mount tilt latches, a constant force balance, double paned glass, and the Intercept warm-edge spacer. Finally, the window comes standard with an aluminum BetterVue screen, and an optional Neopor upgrade that is a thermal insulation made from foam and graphite particles that improves strength and helps with insulation.
The Vinylmax Edison is available in an interior white, tan, or classic oak laminate. It comes in 7 exterior color options, and 4 grid styles. The Edison or 4600 Series is available as the 4600 double hung, the 4650 slider, or as the 4670 picture window. Consumers can expect .12 AI or air infiltration rating, which is considered decent, but not great. A .28 U-factor is a decent number as well. The Vinylmax Edison Window Series gets a 4.4 out of 5 star rating.

Vinylmax Edison vs Franklin
Hi John, we have been looking at Vinylmax windows and have a bid on the Franklin and the Edison. On your site, it says the Edison is the improved and slightly better window, but according to the sales guide, there is very little difference between these two windows. In fact, he said that they’re nearly identical to one another. I was wondering what your thoughts are . The bid price we have on the Franklin is $750 per window. What do you think of this price?

Tina, he is correct in saying that the Franklin and Edison series are very close to one another. In fact, I believe there’s only one small difference I want to say in the lift rail that differentiates these two windows. I think $750 is fine if you’re dealing with full replacement installation. However, if you’re just dealing with an insert window, but I think that bid is too high.
I would strongly suggest you seek out a few more bids to get some price comparisons, and to find out, what other local companies would charge you to install a similar quality window. Thanks so much for using the site, we really appreciate it.

Edison vs Anlin Panoramic
We're super torn. Have two great options with two good companies, and we really liked both of the guys who came out to the house a lot. Price is roughly equivalent, so taking that out of the equation, do you have a leaning between the Edison vs the Anlin Panoramic sliders? The Vinylmax has a nice feature in that it be swung in to clean both sides of window from inside the house, but that's secondary to us vs. quality and durability. Any tie-breaking leanings one window vs. the other?

Amy, these two series are pretty close in quality I would say. I think I would turn my attention from the product to the actual company doing the work. This is where the difference could be huge.
