Stanek Wood Windows Reviews

The Stanek wood grain window uses a wood veneer on the interior, which is quite a nice looking faux wood grain . The company is a bit cagey in labeling the option as a wood window considering it's not actually wood. Instead it's a vinyl derivative that does a good job of imitating the look of real wood grain.

In truth, this is a nice option (assuming you like how the veneer looks) because you don't have to pay for the cost of real wood windows or deal with the maintenance issues that go along with a wood interior. Consumers can choose from 1 of 4 faux wood options that include walnut, cherry, loak oak or a darker oak.

In terms of features and options, this wood laminate option is identical to the Stanek UltraExtreme window, which is their standard vinyl window line. All in all, this wood laminate option is one of the better ones I've seen. If you are looking for a good wood grain interior vinyl window that is well made, but won't break the bank, I'd suggest giving this one a look (or two.)

Stanek Wood Window Warranty

Stanek windows come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty that should cover all vinyl parts, components, and hardware. It was not clear in our reading our the warranty whether or not it is transferrable to another owner, or whether there was a glass breakage provision.

The Stanek window warranty is pretty standard in the industry. However, consumers should be aware that Stanek is not responsible for warranty claims prior to 2013 due to the fact that the company was purchased by Great Day Improvements. Part of the deal was that GDI would not be responsible for warranty claims. The company does seem open to some sort of help, although until we learn more specifics we will not comment further.
