Atrium 8500 Windows Reviews

The Atrium 8500 window is one of the mid range vinyl option from Atrium. The 8500 Series uses the same frame as their low end and now discontinued 5600 Series, but has several nice upgrades, including a sloped sill, beveled mainframe, air latch and vents. The 8501 gets pretty decent performance numbers and is all in all a decent window, although much less well known window compared to the Atrium 8900 series and the Atrium 8300 window.

Standard features include a 7/8" insulated glass, a beveled exterior frame, a constant force balancing system, dual weather-stripping and an integrated lift rail. As well, the window has an aluminum reinforced sash, sloped sill, deluxe cam lock, interlocking sashes, and a half screen. The window can be ordered in white or almond on either the inside or outside.
The Atrium 8500 Window Series gets a 4.1 out of 5 star rating.

Atrium 8500 Window Ratings

We didn't find much in terms of performance numbers on the 8500 series. We did find one mention of it and a .28 U-value and .12 air infiltration. The U-factor is solid, while the AI is just sort of okay.

When we do find additional 8500 window ratings, we will be sure to post them here.

Atrium 8500 Warranty

The Atrium 8500 series comes with a lifetime warranty on their vinyl windows and doors that includes the unit components, frames and sills. The insulated glass units or IGUs are warranted for 30 years, although after the first 15 years, the company pays out a percentage of the total replacement cost based on a formula that only covers 50% of the cost after year 25.

This vinyl window warranty is transferrable to one additional owner and lasts for 10 years from the transfer date or for the original warranty period.
