However, from an overall quality perspective, I would say these two are very close. Marvin is best known for their high quality fiberglass windows, of which they make four series. The company also makes a wood clad window series in the Ultimate, which is quite well made as well.

Reputation - Marvin enjoys quite a good reputation as a quality manufacturer in both the fiberglass and wood clad spaces. Their products tend to be expensive, but not quite as expensive as Andersen.

Andersen Windows And Doors - Anderson is well known by many American consumers - probably more than any other brand in the US. The company is best known for selling high end wood-clad windows. Like Marvin, Andersen sells their window and doors mainly through local companies across all 50 states. They also sell through larger contractors and building developers. The Andersen 100 fibrex series is sold through Home Depot stores.

Reputation - Andersen enjoys a very good reputation in the industry for quality products. I might put their overall reputation a (slight) notch below Marvin.
