Cascade Windows Reviews

Cascade Windows is a west coast vinyl window/door manufacturer that has been around since 1994. They are headquartered in Washington state and sell throughout the state, as well as in Oregon, Utah, and Arizona. The company sells their windows and doors through local companies positioned across several states in the west. These local companies sell and install direct to consumers.

Their Product Lines - The company sells three vinyl window series that include the WinPro (their entry level vinyl window series), the Cascade (their upgraded vinyl window series), and their more specialized folding windows. To clarify, folding windows are multi panelled units that stretch vertically over quite a distance, but than can be folded to allow for maximum opening space - perfect for letting the outside in as it were.

Their Doors - The company sells a number of different door options, including multi-slide, corner, swing, patio, and folding doors. Their door selection is quite unique.

Warranty - Cascade offers a limited lifetime on all of their vinyl windows and doors. Specifically, the warranty states that the windows be free of any manufacturing defects. The warranty is transferrable, but the timeline for warranty protection then reverts to 20 years from the date of installation. The company does not cover the cost of labor to replace or change out any defective windows.

Are Cascade Windows Good? I would say Cascade is a mediocre to just okay brand overall. On the window front, the upgraded Cascade is decent. The WinPro is a series I would mostly avoid. I'm not so sure on the folding windows - they certainly look nice, but whether or not they hold up over time and function well, I haven't heard enough from homeowners to say one way or another.

I give Cascade Windows a 3.8 out of 5 star rating based on 3 homeowner reviews posted at the bottom of the page.

Cascade Vinyl Windows Reviews

I am hoping you can provide some insight for me. We are replacing 9 windows and two sliding doors.in our home. We are looking at Anlin Catalina windows and their Malibu sliding doors, Cascade vinyl window or the Milgard Trinsic line. We have 3 prices for each - Cascade is the lowest by far, Milgard is $16.5K and Anlin is around $500 more, around $17k total. So price is not too much of a factor.

We have not really been able to look at the windows side by side anywhere unfortunately. However, we think we like the interior look of the Milgard Trinsic series better with the metal integrated handle, the pull being with the handle on the center of the sash and not out on the end of the sash, etc. We do not really think we care about the even sightline of the Trinsic. We are also not sure we love the "protrusion" of the Anlin on the outside view vs the flush look of the Trinsic. However, from what we can tell from brochure ware and what we seem to hear form most of the dealers is that the Anlin quality is better.

They seem like the rollers might be better, the frame better, their window coating for water seems nice, their screen material might be better, etc. Again, without a side by side it is hard to tell but it seems like the joints of the Anlin are cleaner and look better and I think I might have seen the construction approach may be the reason and better quality - but again, not really sure.

The Anlin warranty is better but from what I can tell, only for a transfer which is lifetime once for Anlin vs only 10 years from install on Migard windows. While nice, that does not seem to material to me. I have not heard too much on actual quality of support either way but presume with a good installer they can hopefully get the support needed either way.

We are actually considering the Trinsic windows and Anlin sliders and wonder if you think there is any real issue with using different brands for the doors vs windows. I am hoping you might be able to provide some actual insight into the quality differences of the windows and any advice you might have.

In case you think it matters, here is some context and please let me know if you have any questions. The home was built in 1956 in Northern California. 6 windows are in stucco and 3 in wood siding and both sliding doors are in stucco. Most of the 3 windows, one very large, and the two sliders are west facing, 3 are east facing with 2 south and one north. Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts.

Bryan, if you plan to be in the home for some time, I think the Cascade bid is out. For $500 more, the Anlin window bid would be my heavy favorite. Definitely worth the extra cost to do the

Cascade Folding Window Cost Estimate

How much will a folding window from Cascade be that have four normal sized panels? I'm assuming expensive given 4 panels.

Becky, total guess on my part, but I would say $2500 to $4800 would be my guesstimate. Get a bid and see! Make sure to tell the sales rep that you are getting a bunch of quotes and you would appreciate his best quote up front. This usually keeps them somewhat honest.
