Window Nation Fortis Reviews

The Window Nation Fortis window is a high quality vinyl window that might not make my top 50 vinyl windows list -- but it would probably make my top 75 list. Standard features on the Window Nation Fortis window include a constant force balancing system, triple weatherstripping, foam insulation, an integral interlock, sloped sill, tilt in sashes where applicable, and a composite sash reinforcement. The Window Nation Fortis can be ordered as a double hung, horizontal slider, or as picture window. Please note that the window is actually made by Vytex, but is sold by Window Nation under the same model name.

If I were comparing the WN Fortis to another window, I might say the Sunrise Standard Window or the Polaris ThermalWeld series.

Window Nation Fortis Prices

The Window Nation Fortis series should cost $600 to $850 fully installed (on a normal sized window). This wide price range depends on a number of factors that include type of installation required (retrofit or new construction), upgrades selecteced, glass package, grids, etc. The installation will be the biggest factor as the labor on replacement windows typically accounts for 30% to 40% of the total cost of a project. We always recommend consumers get three to four bids in order to get a better sense of what the fair market price is for their window replacement project.

The Fortis delivers strong ratings for a vinyl window, especially in its air infiltration, which is one of the most important numbers to look at. The only other Window Nation vinyl window similar to the upgraded Window Nation Potomac-hp windows.
