The Atrium 8700 series is the same window as the Reliabilt 3500 and is also sold by Ellison Windows. It is a decent vinyl window that will offer okay numbers and results. The 8700 includes all of the upgrades of the 8500, along with a better warranty, aluminum sash reinforcement and one extra color option in bronze.
The reinforced sash should improve the performance of the window - the 3500 has a DP rating of 35. Definitely one of the those windows that is probably just fine if you get the right price point and find a good installer who knows what he's doing and doesn't take shortcuts. The Atrium 8700 window includes the company's lifetime lifetime warranty on the vinyl frame, sash, hardware and all components. The insulated glass unit comes with a 30 year warranty period, however after 15 years of ownership, the replacement amount decreases, check the Atrium warranty page for the formula amount.
The Atrium warranty is transferrable to an additional owner, although the warranty period is then only 10 years from the original purchase date.
