Our Alside Excalibur windows reviews page provide product information, pricing, ratings and warranty information on the economy level vinyl window from Alside that is a popular, but unimpressive in terms of performance. The Excalibur and Excalibur II are often the model that Window World uses for their $189 installed special.
The Excalibur uses a thinner frame than the Alside Sheffield window, which does allow for more viewing area, but this will come at a price and that is performance. Consumers can expect a .35 U-value and .18 air infiltration with their standard glass package (see below for performance numbers with the ClimaTech glass upgrade).
Note: Alside offers the Excalibur window for western states and the Excalibur II for the remainder of the country, these windows are virtually identical except for a few minor climate-related details.
The Alside Excalibur windows features the following; a multi-chambered, fusion welded mainframe and sash, double-strength glass, beveled exterior profile, and tilt-in sash(es) on their single and double hungs. In addition, the Alside Excalibur Series features a sloped capture sill, hidden screen track, a constant force balancing system, drop-in glazing and an interlock on the sash's metting rail for better security. Consumers can upgrade to the ClimaTech insulated glass for better energy efficiency numbers.
Consumers can also choose from prairie, craftsman, and colonial grid patterns, as well as custom grid pattern upgrades. Consumers can also choose from interior frame colors that include white, desert clay and almond. Exterior frame colors also include white, desert clay and almond. The Alside Excalibur Window Series gets a 3.2 out of 5 star rating.
