Renewal By Andersen Complaints

Explore Renewal By Andersen Complaints from homeowners and consumers alike on their fibrex composite windows. As a large company, Renewal deals with both consumers complaints and praises, with the price tag of their windows being a core focus of many of these gripes.

Let's talk scenario to give you some more specifics. During your free bid, the RBA sales rep will showcase their fibrex composite windows - usually emphasize the advantages of their model, which I must admit is visually appealing - more so than many vinyl windows available today. Renewal windows can also be customized and come with various hardware options and upgradeable features. These are the upsides of RBA

However, the downside is the undeniably steep cost of the window and the overall performance. The double hung with standard low-e glass has a U-value of 0.30, a solar heat gain coefficient of 0.34, and an air infiltration rating of 0.17. While the first two values are acceptable, the AI rating of 0.17 is relatively poor when compared to the best vinyl windows currently available.

After measuring your replacement windows, the salesperson will return with an estimate. This initial cost estimate can be quite shocking. Typically, the initial cost per window, fully installed, ranges from $2000 to $3000. However, they will often offer all sorts of promotions such as marketing specials for purchasing a certain number of windows, automatic price discounts, current sales, or limited-time discounts if you sign today. Regardless of the offer, the final price will always be lower than that initial quote.

This sales approach, or some may call it a sales tactic, is clever because the "discounted" price appears much more appealing compared to the initial cost. Ideally, the price will fall within the range of $1500 to $2500, which is what most consumers can expect to pay for the Andersen Renewal fibrex window series.

Renewal By Andersen Prices

Consumers can expect the Andersen Renewal fibrex window series to fall within the range of $1500 to $2500 fully installed. This is quite an expensive unit. Please note: prices can be well outside of this range depending on all sorts of project details. Some of the most important factors include the type of installation needed, the size of the windows, the area in which you live, and the number of upgrades that you opt for.

Renewal also charges a pretty penny for their composite series because they have a well known name (and they pay a lot in advertising). The best way to find out the true market cost for your project is to collect multiple bids from local companies.

Renewal By Andersen Complaints

John, help please if you can! We are doing a 2 story sunroom remodel project, along with normal replacements in our home. We have 41 windows in all that need to be replaced.

We just got done with a two hour s plus presentation from Renewal By Andersen where they gave us an estimate of $220,000. And this was the price after the initial price, which almost gave me a heart attack.

I could tell that he saw the panic on my face because he then went on for 30 minutes talking about how bad vinyl windows are and how we would have to rip them out in a few years. Is this true or was this just an incredibly high bid? Thank you for your site.

Alice, Renewal has been known to put out some high bids, but that one is a bit beyond the pale. There are roughly 40 to 50 vinyl windows that I would put in my home over the Renewal fibrex. These units are better made and they have better energy efficient numbers - the top ones by quite a bit. But I suppose he is correct that the (worst vinyl windows) might have to be taken out when they start to fail after 12 years or so.

I will send you my list of the best vinyl windows for you to consider. Hopefully, the bids you receive on these excellent series will be MUCH LESS expensive!
