Window World - WW is based out of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina and has been in business since 1995. The company is structured as a franchise, with over 200 branches across the United States. Like most franchises, WW is direct-to-consumer focused. The company doesn’t actually manufacture their own vinyl windows and doors, but instead they sell relabeled products from various companies, including Aside, AMI, MI, Wincore, and Simonton.

Reputation - Window World is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to reputation. Because they concentrate on a budget-conscious consumer, their lower end vinyl windows tend not to last all that long. The result is criticism as to the overall quality of their window and doors. Because WW is a franchise, the quality you can expect is partially based on the branch that is nearest to where you live.

Andersen Windows And Doors - Anderson (or perhaps Pella) is the best known brand for doors and windows in the US. Unlike WW who sells direct-to-consumers, Andersen sells most of their windows through local companies or through contractors and developers. The one caveat to this is their 100 fibrex window, which is sold through Home Depot stores. Andersen is best known for their premium wood clad windows.

Reputation - Andersen enjoys quite a good reputation, perhaps the best overall. The reputation is deserved as far as I am concerned. Andersen window and door series are quite expensive.
