HD costs are going to really depend on the brand and series you select. Each HD tends to carry different windows so it's difficult to say which series will be carried by which brands. Two of the most popular series they carry are Pella 250 windows and Simonton VantagePointe series.

Benny, it really depends on how many companies they have for a certain zip code. But I will say that collecting a number of bids is the best way to suss out value in the marketplace - but you do have to deal with the initial response.

I would call up HD and see if you can put a hold on any work order just to get your bids collected and then we can look at everything and decide what makes the most sense from a timeline and pricing perspective.

That would be my recommendation.

Hi. Is Home Depot pricing competitive? They sell your Simonton 5500 series windows. We had a bid for 11 windows for 17k.

Sandra, the Simonton 5500 series is a good quality product. But that price looks very...pricey to me. If the price point is over $1000 each, I think you need to collect more bids to see what the fair market price is on your project.
