Larson Storm Windows
Larson Storm Windows - while Larson was once the leader in manufacturing and selling storm windows, they are, unfortunately, no longer offering this line of products. The reason is most likely due to waning customer demand, which prompted the company to discontinue their fleet of storm windows in 2022. Also, Larson is now owned by Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. Thankfully, this doesn't obviate their warranty responsibilities, but it is worth noting.
At the time, the ComfortSEAL storm window was the most popular selling storm window in the United States. However, please note that Larson storm DOORS are still available for purchase through certain local companies and distributors. For our discussion of the best storm windows on the market today, use the link.
Bottom Line: While Larson made some of the best storm windows around, they no longer do, and that's a shame. They do, however, still make storm doors and these are very well made. So if you are in the market for storm doors, check out Larson for their price point and series.

When they were available, Larson storm windows were some of the more expensive windows on the market (and with good reason as they were also some of the best). So in 2017, a standard Larsen storm windows cost $125 per window. Installation was $75 per window, bringing the total to $200 fully installed. By 2022, the year that Larson stopped making storm windows, that price point had effectively doubled.
-- $300 to $600 fully installed --
Larson Storm Windows Cost
During that year, Larson storm windows themselves were approximately $225 for the window only. Additionally, installation was $150 (labor costs for installing windows varies considerably so assume this is an industry standard.) Therefore, this brings the total to $375 per storm window themselves were fulled installed. Obviously, the price point after 2022 is a moot point (at least in terms of Larson). However, I would say $300 to $600 fully installed is an accurate price range for storm windows.
American consumers in the market for storm windows do still have several great options when it comes to storm windows. Here are four of our top picks in terms of both the brand (company) and the individual series we recommend. These include:
Additional Manufacturers
Harvey Windows (recommended series: Tru-Channel Aluminum)
Columbia Windows (recommended series: 650 Aluminum)
Indow Windows (Storm Window Series)
Quanta-Panel and Glass Insulators Inc.

John, I read your article on Larson storm windows and wanted to get your opinion. We bought their storm windows back in 2008 and they have really handled and held up well. But now one of the windows fogged up between the panes and its very annoying. So it looks like the company is now out of business - or no longer sells their windows. Can I still get them to replace the messed up window.
William, excellent question and one that I don't have the immediate answer for. However, if you google Larson storm windows in [your city, state] and hit search, it should show you companies that sell Larson windows in your area. Assuming you find one or more, call them up and ask them point blank if the company warranty covers the storm windows for this period of time and how to get relief.
Hi John, so we recently did a remodel for our home and it included 20 plus Larson Gold Storm windows. They were not cheap windows, I think we paid $375 each for the storms and then our contractor charged us $150 each for the install. To be honest, I didn't have a problem with what the windows cost, but I do think Ken overcharged us a bit for the labor. However, he did a great job overall, so I can't complain too much. The storm windows have real secure locks now (although they are a bit tough to get open LOL).
Norman, it was an easy recommendation as the Larson storm windows are some of the best in the business. Ironically, it looks like the company might stop making them later this year. (Had I known this I might have recommended something else, but they are a great product.) If that is the case, really pay attention to how they perform this year so that if anything needs fixing or replacing, you can get it all done.

Double Hung Windows Question
Now, the house feels soooo much warmer and dryer and also the noise levels are way down. No clue if this is going to help with our energy bills and energy efficiency, but I'm thinking it probably is going to have some affect. Anywho, I wanted to thank you for the recommendation and tell you how much it has helped with our comfort. You're the best.
