Harvey Tru-Channel Storms have 2x weather-stripping, sash interlocks, 3x tracks, fiberglass half screen, and marine vinyl glazing. The Tru-Channel has an impressive .05 air infiltration rating. Indow Inserts

While not strictly a storm, this Portland, Oregon based company makes inserts that serve much the same function as storm windows. Unlike traditional storm windows, Indow uses several innovations that make their inserts more adaptable, especially with older window openings that may not be perfectly square or plumb. I would say that their Acoustic Grade option is probably the most applicable for the purposes of blocking or protecting existing windows from severe storms.

Best Storm Windows : Larson

Unfortunately, Larson storm windows are no longer available (beginning in the middle of 2023). The company was one of the main manufacturers that were available to buy in many of the big box stores like Home Depot. This certainly make purchasing quality options much more difficult for consumers in the mid west states and elsewhere.
