Great Lakes Bayshore Windows Reviews

The Great Lakes Bayshore is an entry level vinyl window that's a bit stripped down from the Great Lakes Seabrooke series. The Bayshore isn't really a window model we would recommend for most homeowners who are looking for long term value. The Bayshore at one time had it's own website, but now the series is incorporated on the main Great Lakes window website, where they don't mention specific models. The Great Lakes Bayshore Window Series gets a 3.8 out of 5 star rating.

Great Lakes Bayshore Ratings

The Great Lakes Bayshore window will have nearly identical performance numbers to both the Seabrooke and the Lifestyles series. Consumers can expect the standard Bayshore window to deliver a .34 U factor, a .24 SHGC, a .34 VT, and a 51 for condensation resistance.

An upgraded glass package will improve these numbers to a .29 U factor, a .24 SHGC, a .40 VT, and a 54 for condensation resistance.

All in all, the Great Lakes Bayshore window produces some pretty mediocre performance numbers that are not unexpected for an entry level vinyl window at this price point.

Great Lakes Bayshore Warranty

In terms of its warranty, the Bayshore window includes a lifetime provision on the frame and sash, all of the moving parts such as latches and balances, the fiberglass screen and the insulated glass unit. In the case of the IGU, the warranty is prorated, meaning that the amount of coverage goes down beginning at year 11.

The Great Lakes window warranty is transferable to an additional owner, check with the local company who is selling you the window to find out more on the transfer terms. There are a number of limitations and exclusions that go along with this warranty so as always we urge consumers to read the warranty in full before they purchase these Great Lakes windows.
