Loewen Windows Prices

Loewen windows are one of the higher end wood window manufacturers available in the United States. The company offers three basics window models, their standard or 25 Series, the StormForce impact window and the ultra high end Cyprium Collection. High end wood window manufacturers like Loewen offer a well made and tightly constructed window, with a wide variety of components, features and hardware. Consumers can customize the sizing, configurations, colors and more in creating the perfect wood window for their home. And for this luxury and versatility, you will pay a pretty penny. Loewen windows are amongst the most expensive on the market.

The company uses either a Mahogany or Coastal Douglas Fir, both wood species are tough and resilient with a warm and rich texture. Each wood window interior is treated with a wood preservative and sealant, while the exterior is an extruded kynar finished aluminum cladding. The aluminum cladding is set away from the interior wood in order to improve the overall performance of the window.

Consumers can choose from a wide array of exterior color finishes including their standard 15 color options, as well as their Architectural palette that includes some 40 additional colors. The company also offers a very nice selections of metal hardware (handles and locking mechanisms), including oil rubbed bronze, antique brass, brushed chrome and bright brass.

Loewen is one of my favorite wood window companies, along with Marvin, and one that I would put in my home - if I could actually afford them :)

Loewen Windows Warranty

The Loewen window warranty is a pretty good sized document that covers each of the main parts of their windows. Loewen offers a 20 year warranty glass, wood parts and certain types of exterior paint. Their insulated glass units with stainless steel spacers also carry a 20 year warranty period from manufacturing defects. Non-tempered glass carries a 10 year warranty period against stress cracks from the manufacturing process.

Laminated glass carries a 5 year warranty, while component parts such as hinges, hardware and locks have a 10 year warranty period. There are a number of limitations and exclusions that apply so we would strongly urge consumers to read the document in full to better understand what is covered and what is not.
