Jeld Wen Windows Prices

Jeld Wen windows prices run $20 to $80 per square foot - these are window prices only and do not include the cost of installation. The company is a large manufacturer that previously concentrated on the new construction market (meaning they sold to builders and developers, instead of to contractors and remodelers). They now also sell replacement windows as well and are considered a nice mid range manufacturer - they are not a top tier company like a Marvin Windows or an Andersen, but also not a lower tier manufacturer.

The company sells a full range of products; vinyl, aluminum and wood clad windows. The fact that they market several of their windows as builder grade is a good indication that JeldWen is or was a new construction manufacturer - this term has a somewhat bad connotation as a cheaply made product.

Jeld Wen Windows vs Andersen

How do these two titans of the window world stack up against one another. Let's take a look. Company Structure: Jeld Wen and Andersen are both owned by corporations that bear their own names. They are both well known, although I would say Andersen is perhaps the more well known.

What They Sell: Jeld Wen sells vinyl windows, aluminum and wood clad options, as well as lots of doors. No composite series though. Andersen sells wood clad and composite windows, as well as doors in these materials. Jeld makes good doors, but they are better known for their front doors and vinyl sliders, while Andersen is better known for their beautiful French doors.

Marketing: They both sell their windows&doors in the big box stores, as well as through their own extensive dealer networks that cover every state in the U.S. (I'm actually not sure about Alaska.) They do very little retail marketing, unless you are talking about Renewal By Andersen, which relies heavily on traditional retail marketing. (Renewal is owned by the Andersen corporation.)

Costs: Jeld Wen price points are much lower than Andersen. Jeld Wen vinyl windows at the big box stores are some of the lowest on the market. Their wood clad series are usually pretty affordable compared to many. Andersen is at the top of the heap in terms of price.

Jeld Wen Windows Prices | V 2500

The V 2500, also known as the Builder Vinyl series, is often carried at big box stores and is the company's low end vinyl window. It's really not a very well made a series and consumers should probably opt for a better alternative if they are looking to maximize long term value. Some better series (that I would label solid mid range offerings) include the Alside Mezzo Windows and the Pella 250 series. Click to read all of our Pella 250 Series reviews.

Jeld Wen Windows Prices | V 4500

The V 4500, also known as the Premium Vinyl Series, is the upgrade over the V 2500 Builders Vinyl. While it's not the best option out there, the V 4500 series is the preferred option over the V 2500 series. Some upgraded series include ProVia Endure windows and the Harvey Classic.

Jeld Wen Windows Prices | W 2500

The W 2500 is the company's entry level wood clad window that uses an AuraLast treatment on the pine interior, which protects wood and comes with a lifetime warranty against wood rot. Similar quality windows include the Andersen 200 series and the Milgard Essence Series.

Jeld Wen Windows Prices | W 4500

The W 4500 is an upgraded option over the W 2500 series. I'd say this is a decent wood clad window; perhaps not very strong on the performance side, but impressive from a customization standard. The W4500 is made from an AuraLast wood that will not rot like other wood species are apt to do. Similar quality windows include the Andersen 200 series and the Milgard Essence Series.

JeldWen Windows Prices | Aluminum

JeldWen manufacturers four different aluminum clad windows, which seems a bit excessive, but there it is. The builders series is, their low end aluminum series that is marketed and sold mainly to developers and builders. Most consumers, especially in the replacement market, are going to go with one of their better made aluminum options.

Jeld Wen Builders Aluminum

The Builders Aluminum is an entry level aluminum frame that is sold primarily in the southwest United States, including southern California, the lower half of Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona and in certain select west Texas areas. The regional availability of the window is based on the idea that aluminum is quite good for a very hot climate, but does not get the sort of energy efficiency numbers that most homeowners are going to want to achieve.

-- Fully Installed: $45 to $60 psf --

Jeld Wen Premium Atlantic Aluminum

The premium Atlantic aluminum option garners generally solid reviews from contractors and installers. This model is also known as the A500.

-- Installation: $75 to $125 per opening --

-- Price Out The Door: $70 to $85 psf --

Jeld Wen Siteline EX

The Siteline EX is a nice, clean looking wood window that uses even sight lines. It's actually one of the better products from this manufacturer and one of my recommendations, along with their Premium Vinyl Series.

-- Standard Installation: $75 to $125 per opening --

-- Fully Installed: $75 to $90 psf --

Jeld Wen Siteline

Jeld Wen Custom Wood Windows

The Custom Wood series was previously name the Pozzi and is a nice wood window, made with the same AuraLast as the Siteline EX. It includes a ton of custom options and upgrades.
