Alpen Windows Prices

Explore Alpen Windows prices from this Colorado-based window manufacturer. Alpen High Performance Products manufactures highly energy efficient windows and doors for commercial and residential purposes. The company has gone through a few ownership hiccups, but has been pretty solid since 2012.

The company makes two lines of windows, the Zenith and Tyrol Series. The Zenith series is a fiberglass window that is available in 5 different model options, all of which get impressive performance data. The Tyrol Series is a vinyl window that comes in 3 different model options, as well as an optional PH+ foam upgrade.

Alpen HPP Window Ratings

The Alpen Zenith Series is divided up into 5 different product lines, including the ZR-5 of 525, ZR-6 or 626, ZR-7 or 725, ZR-9 0r 925, and the ZR-10 or 1025 series. For instance, the "contractor" horizontal slider model of the Zenith 525 has a DP70, U-0.17, and VT of .43 and air infiltration of .07. Those are really really solid numbers for a builder grade product. In fact, many window manufacturers would like those numbers for their premium models.

The Tyrol series is divided up into the T6, T7, and T9 models. There is an optional upgrade to any of these called the PH+, which is a high end foam insulation on the main frame. The T6 tilt/turn model, for instance, delivers a .18 U-factor, .35 SHGC, .48 VT and a .03 AI. Impressive.

Alpen HPP Warranty

The windows and doors come with a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner. It only applies to subsequent owners for a period of 10 years. The warranty does not include any provisions for the cost of reinstallation should a problem arise.

All in all, not the best warranty out there. Seems a bit skimpy to me, especially for fiberglass and vinyl windows that seem to be well made.

Website Editor's Answer

Dickie, Alpen windows make an EXCELLENT fiberglass window. One of the best in the business. Ironically, I hear about them very infrequently.
